I was in search of a free standing tub that had completely straight/square sides versus the many that are sold with curves and angles. I needed this to fit in a corner without leaving spaces between the tub and wall that would either trap water or dust. This was the the one squared tub that I found within my price range, with others being 2-3 times as much for some reason, so I bought it in the only version available at the time (glossy gray). It's here now, I've opened the box to take a look and it is really beautiful and substantial while also being a foot shorter in length than the alcove tub it's replacing (space that I was eager to gain in a small bathroom). I'm really excited to get it installed and will be putting in a fixed glass panel on the non-wall end and a pivoting glass panel door along the exposed side since it will get the most use as a shower. This tub was purchased for my daughters’ bathroom renovation. The pictures do not do this tub justice! Prior to renovation, their bathroom had a one-piece showertub combo with sliding glass doors. In order to give them a stand-alone tub, along with a very custom designed rainfall shower we had to relocate the vanity over to the wall where the shower wasis located. I was nervous about the aesthetics of the tub, especially given that it was now going to be the focal point of the room. Not only is the tub beautiful and elegant but the girls absolutely love it!!! I will forewarn you you will need all hands on deck to move this tub. It arrived in a wooden crate, with lid, which was great as my contractor didn’t get it installed right away.
