It took 43 minutes to assemble. Its lightweight but sturdy. It looks like solid wood and very good quality. I appreciate how they packaged the hardware needed. You will need a screwdriver. The only downside for me was the last step of screwing in part number 8 would be easier if you apply it before putting on the top shelf. Nice cabinet that feels a little smaller than expected. It includes white wooden knobs that I switched out with others to coordinate with another furniture piece. For reference, in my photo, the baskets are 16” D x 9” W x 6” H as positioned, to give an idea of what would fit on a shelf. I’m pleased with this purchase. It was a bit challenging to assemble on my own since I have short arms and the front and back of the unit are preinstalled. Also because the particle board in the back was a bit warped it was difficult to get the top to line up when assembling the final bolts. It’s definitely a two person job. But the solid word portion is good quality and I’m pleased the cherry color is a close match to my other furniture. If it’s delivered to your home when you are not there you’ll need a dolly to get it inside. It’s extremely heavy when all packaged together. I love the cabinet and it was really easy to put together I think I completed it in under 90 minutes and no issues! I wasn't sure I was going to want the taller legs that it came with but once I put them on I really like it. I didn't buy it with the fireplace insert I bought that separately as I wanted one that had a little bit better quality than the one it came with and the reviews that I read on it. The cabinet overall is solid it's got a beautiful shape the doors do stick a little bit but it's not a deal kill and someone had mentioned that the electrical outlet is not cut into the cabinet so the cord for the fireplace does stop the doors from sliding all the way around not a problem for me. But if you want them all the way open then you may need to drill a hole into the floor of the cabinet. The only issue I really had was the handles the screws that it came with do not fit properly and they're too loose so they don't sit on the cabinet so I'm going to have to look for different screws or different handle which is not a big fix. Overall the directions were simple and easy to follow as long as you don't get ahead!
