I decided on and purchased this mantle for many reasons. 1) It being a Pearl Mantle let me know it would be made with quality. 2) It’s real wood and not some sort of plastic or pressed board. 3) it’s decorative and accentuates my decor perfectly and 4) the cost wasn’t cheap, but wasn’t unreasonably high! It arrived nicely packed, but I took one star away as it did not come with the 2 inch wood screws needed to do its install! It also did not come with instructions for installation. This meant searching online for instructions and having to go get the screws needed for the install. I'm a general contractor and this item was selected by a customer of mine for a custom home build. She absolutely loved it. The install was incredibly easy. The packaging for this product was out of this world, truly a work of art.
