The medallion is a nice add-on to the light fixtures. I used Rust-Oleum Universal spray paint, very easy and very fast! I purchased several different styles to determine the look and size I needed. I settled on the Pompeii as the overall design fit my 16x12 ceiling. I had installed a medallion when we replaced our chandelier. I was disappointed because the medallion was too small for the fixture. This ceiling ring was perfect to give the illusion of a larger medallion without having to start over! It would also be useful when the medallion you love is too small for what you need- more intentional than was my case. Calculating the size I needed was the tricky part! With the medallion, this ring, and the ceiling between the two painted the same color, it appears that I have a much larger medallion than I actually have. Ceiling Ring was difficult to piece together. Pieces don't fit perfectly flush, had to rely on a lot of caulk to fill in the gaps. Would be great if product could be made with more of a tongue-in-groove on each end for a perfect, near seamless fit. In addition, I was hoping to glue the entire ring then secure it to the ceiling. Would have been SO much easier as far as perfectly centering it around a light fixture. However, gorilla glue didn't stick, neither did liquid nails, even allowing glue to cure for 48 hours. Just ended up hanging piece by piece on the ceiling which was quite tricky! Overall, the final product is pretty and luckily my ceiling is high enough that no one will notice all the caulking between the pieces.. Bruce D. Sun Aug 26 2012

The medallion arrived on time and was well-packaged, arriving in good condition. Overall, it looks nice and should work well for my project.
