I just love my new cooktop. The design makes it really easy to clean. In terms of performance, I noticed that cook times are a little bit shorter. The gas dial has a wide range, so I can go from very low to high flame. Also having an additional burner is great. I can have multiple meals going at the same time. This is just what I hoped it would be - a solid rubber-like material to handle the 1.25-inch lip leading from my driveway into my garage. Warning: measure twice. I came up just a few inches short and needed a second order to get 100% coverage across the garage entrance. Why is this important - without 100% coverage, there would be a gap under the garage door where insects/vermin could enter. Also, if your garage door were to come down on this ramp, your automatic garage door opener's setting may cause the door to not close, but come back up, believing it hit an obstruction - so make sure you have the capacity and instructions available to adjust those settings. Out of the box, this griddle will NOT fit a Prestige 450, but I found it was easily altered to fit. As it is designed to fit the larger surface area of a Prestige 500, the rear spacer needs 1/4” cut off each side, and a small notch cut (see attached photos). The griddle is also too large front to back, but a couple of self-tapping screws along the back edge and inside the front lip of the barbecue prevent any movement. This griddle is really well made. Being stainless steel, there’s no seasoning needed - just clean with water after use to steam clean any food residue off.
