It gives a wonderful glow to the front room. The shade is glass and the material is metal. We love the nightlight though it has also. It is just the right amount of light to be relaxing and to make the room feel cozy. I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking for a nice tall lamp and some mood lighting or enough light to be able to do things in the room that is not too detailed. We love it!. Brandi. US. Bright light with a compact design. The base is a nice warm gold tone. For me it’s limiting because the only way to turn it on is via the button on the wire at the base but where I have to plug it in the button is under other furniture. So it’s great if you want it out in the open but not so handy tucked in a corner. I’d also swap the bulb that comes with it since it’s that ultra white LED.. Alonda. Stratford, CT. Mon Jun 01 2026

The smooth dome shade creates a warm and cozy light, while the wavy metal body adds an artistic touch to your space. With its all-white look and slim footprint, this floor lamp is easy to place beside a sofa, armchair, or bedside area. The inline switch and included warm bulb make it convenient for everyday relaxing, reading, or ambient lighting."

I absolutely love this lamp! It has such a unique, modern-retro look and instantly adds character to the room. The sculptural base and dome shade make it feel much more expensive and designer-looking than I expected. It’s also a great height for filling an empty wall or corner without taking up much floor space. The lighting is warm, soft, and cozy, but still provides plenty of illumination. I especially love the way the dome shade casts the light downward and creates a beautiful glow on the wall. It looks great both turned on and off and pairs perfectly with neutral, modern décor.. An Adesso patented 300 Watt Double Socket construction allows for two crisscrossed sockets, each holding on/off 150 Watt incandescent or LED bulbs which provides approximately 3 times more light than a typical torchiere. Cast a warm light over any space with this chic lamp, showcasing a frosted glass shade and steel finish. Pair it with a white shag rug, low coffee table, and clean-lined sofa with subtle tufting for a pop of mod-inspired style.

Great lamp. Does the job. Modern looking and gives off a good amount of light without glare. I'm glad I purchased it. I recommend it.. Joyful. Melbourne, FL. Mon May 25 2026

The metropolis floor lamp is a sleek, contemporary style with a dramatic elegant bowl shade. It provides approximately 3 times more light than a typical torchiere. A simple high/low rotary switch is located on the shade cup to adjust the brightness. This lamp has a black cord and is smart outlet compatible. We recommend using incandescent bulbs for best results achieving both settings of 50% brightness and 100% brightness with no flicker. When using LED bulbs, it is common to see some flicker on the low setting (the high setting will always have no flicker). A dimmable lead will minimize the low-setting flicker, but may still occur.

Perfect touch for the look that I wanted. I wanted something somewhere between spare contemporary and traditional, which is usually to heavy/fussy for me. This lamp is clean-looking but doesn't look as if it belongs in a cold medical exam-room. I think it fits into the space with a more transitional style without sticking out like a sore thumb. I'm very happy with the result. The uplighting gives the perfect effect for the vaulted ceiling. The lamp is solid and stable. The on/off switch doesn't have the flimsy feel that many others that I've purchased had, so I'm hopeful that this one will hold up longer. I took one star off because assembly was a bit frustrating; I had more than a little difficulty working the electrical cord down inside the tube enough to screw the top of the lamp down completely - a VERY tight fit that took several attempts. But the result was worth it.. Innerchild. Missouri. Fri Jul 31 2020

The glass bowl-shaped frosted shade provides ample lighting to any space. The swirling vane details add depth and texture to the glass, making it a true statement piece. The thick glass and the swirl vane details throughout make the floor lamp a beautiful addition to any living room and a wonderful conversation starter.

It looks great and works great. It was a little hard to get it together. The parts were hard to line up and took quite a few times to get them on straight. Haven't been able to figure out how to get the cord to come out the back. How the lamp went together the cord comes out the same side as the smaller bottom light so it's right in the front. Hope to be able to figure out how to get that changed. I hesitate to take it all apart because it was so hard to put it together. It is very sturdy.. Harriet. Bridgeton, NJ. Thu Oct 08 2026

Modern, polished, and elegant, the Metropolis torchiere upgrades the standard torchiere silhouette to highlight small details and sleek form. Beautiful in warm, brushed antique brass, this lamp's 10" round base features a polished brass ring. The slender, simple stem is topped with three circular accents for an elegant look. Topping the torchiere is a 14" diameter frosted glass shade to house two 150W bulbs, bringing a soft glow to any space. For versatile lighting options, the brightness can be adjusted between high, low, and off with the rotary switch located at the base of the shade.

I bought two of these lamps for different areas of my open floor plan -- Love the contemporary styling and the nice weight; I don't worry they will fall over like many of the cheaper ones.. Pamela. IL. Sat Sep 05 2026

This floor lamp showcases a mission-inspired stained glass shade that brings a classic look to your living room or study. It’s crafted with an iron frame for a clean, structured silhouette that fits easily into corners. The cone shade is designed to direct light upward, creating soft, ambient illumination across your ceiling. This plug-in fixture works well for brightening up seating areas or reading nooks.
