This chair is perfect for my space in my 1 bedroom apartment. It's nice to have another option for a guest to sleep with it's sleeper component. Some said the cushion wasn't super comfortable but I think it's fine. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the under part that comes out to make it either a recliner chair or a bed doesn't have anywhere to lock to the chair, so if you move a certain way, it can start wheeling away from the chair. I am very happy with this oversized 42.5" Extra Wide Manual Recliner. If you're looking for a chair that offers plenty of room without sacrificing comfort, this is an excellent choice. The "extra wide" description is absolutely accurate. There's more than enough space to stretch out, relax, or even curl up with a blanket while reading or watching TV. One feature is it's a manual recliner, so if you are looking for something that is electric this is not the chair. But the nice thing is that there are no motors, cords, or electronic components to worry about, which means there's less that can go wrong over time. The reclining mechanism works smoothly and opens and closes with very little effort. The leather upholstery is soft, and it looks much more expensive than I expected and is comfortable to sit on for long periods. I ordered the pale gray color, and it matches the photos perfectly. The shade is a true light gray that blends well with a variety of decorating styles and brightens up the room. Assembly couldn't have been easier. The back simply slides into place, no tools needed, and no confusing instructions. From opening the box to sitting in the chair it only took a few minutes. The recliner feels firmer than some recliners, which I prefer because it provides excellent support without feeling stiff or uncomfortable. It feels well-made and is comfortable whether you're sitting upright or fully reclined. Overall, this recliner exceeded my expectations. It's roomy, comfortable, attractive, easy to assemble, and operates effortlessly. If you want a dependable manual recliner with large seating space and quality construction, I recommend this one. Great chair, but it's a little too tall for me from my knee to the floor so my thigh touches my desk. For reference I'm 5' 7". 4 stars made the title of this review "works for me" which I thought would confuse you so I gave it 5 stars " just what I need" bc it wasn't a 3 "it's ok". So yea, I give it 4 stars for that. I also find the base to be kind of clunky. It's comfortable and holds my 325lb body with no worries. This oversized chair was the perfect size for my alcove and the color is nice and neutral. The one bracket was a little bent but fixed easily with a mallet. Some of the cushions were packed inside the back part of the chair and were hard to pull out. A screw needed to be removed before pulling the cushions otherwise it wouldve torn the fabric pulling it out. I wish there was a fabric flap that could be attached to cover up the space where the cushions were packed because I imagine dirt and debris are going to get caught up inside.
