Great value. There are a couple of things to be aware of: 1) Although easy to do, there are many pieces to assemble, so count on maybe 2-3 hours of time to fully assemble the desk, hutch and all of the drawers. 2) Given the type of coated particle board construction that is used, there were some small blemishes on corners/ends of a few of the pieces. The drawers open smoothly but they do make slight sound as it sort of scrapes along the metal. The drawers don’t have stoppers so COULD fall on toes BUT they’re so deep that I can’t imagine that happening. We do plan to remedy that in some way because it for our 7yo son, but not necessary for older kids or adults. chair opening is very large which makes it nice for widercrossed-legged chairs. I’m sorry I can’t give this 5 stars, but the majority of the pieces have small chips on them and the teeny tiny pieces of styrofoam made an absolute mess on every single piece that we had to wipe off before we could even start thinking about assembly. Feels huge when assembled but still fits smaller spaces. The separate cabinet with writing platform allows for expansion of space as needed. Lots of upper storage, cabinet storage, drawer and shelves. More than we needed but allowed us to avoid a bookshelf as well. Do not overtightened the cam locks. This causes the particle board to crack and in turn crack the finish. Feels solid when together. Came in three separate boxes on two separate days. Plan to spend several hours assembling. I took three evenings and built one section each evening then assembled. The knobs provided felt cheap so we replaced with different knobs that also fit the other accessories in the room.
