These are really sturdy. The legs are wood but they have two metal square pieces that support the legs. Seats are super comfortable. I was looking for a lower profile stool that still had good back support and these were it! They are cushy and soft and supportive. They were the perfect color as well. My only wish is that they had foot rests on the sides as well, but that's because I'm used to that now. One cushion has a small gouge that would have split more as we sat on it, so I requested a replacement and Wayfiar was so quick to respond! We had a replacement within the week. Ordered 2 sets for our new kitchen island. They seem very sturdy. I took off one star for the damaged legs. They were package nicely in foam so not sure it’s a quality control issue or if they did get damaged in transit. I’m putting socks on the legs anyway so it’s fine. Would buy again very comfy..
