These round table tops are not recommended for outdoor use, as the wood is finished with a water-based urethane Matte finish. Our solid teak patio series is built to last. All joints are mortise-toned at all joints and dowelled for strength. This teak is Lacy Act compliant and sustainably harvested on teak farms with consistently replanting the plantation. Teak is a very durable wood and to demonstrate its durability US Navy uses teak for the decks of our aircraft carriers. They can be oiled with teak oil and then wiped dry to prevent them from becoming sticky.

This table top is beautiful! I had an existing base from my old tile top table so I was able to attach this table top to the existing base. It arrived extremely well packaged with no damage what so ever. The finish on it seems to be a stain or a protection clear coat…I’m not sure. I purchased a teak protector to keep it from turning grey but I’m not sure if I actually need to use it or not?? I would definitely purchase another one if I needed to buy another teak table top!! The finish is not a dark brown/walnut, it has an orange tint to the wood tone. Can seat 6 people comfortably. (I highly doubt you can fit 8 people.) It's almost been a year and the table is still standing. We use it every night for our family of 5, and it's the go to table when guests arrive. HOWEVER, the table is starting to become squeaky. Any time you apply weight to the tabletop, or try to move the table, it squeaks.... LOUDLY. We've lubricated all the screws and joints, placed felt between the joining wood parts, and tightened the screws. It still makes A LOT of noise. We would LOVE to find a remedy to this problem, because we LOVE the table.
