This is a beautiful fixture, highly recommend. We're using it above our rectangular dining room table. The wood is light and the matte brass is a very nice, subdued tone. It's much less yellow than many brushed brass fixtures (which I like); but be aware if you're trying to match any existing finishes. I took a chance and had bought this when there were no reviews but then I was worried after reading recent reviews. I’m so glad we put this up. Installation seemed really easy but we used a professional who had done these before and it only took him an hour. We have the gold one and it replaced three gold and white pendants that were hanging vertically. The style and linear shape fit better with our kitchen. I am pleased to see veining on the alabaster shade. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 as you can see the tiny screws on the metal holding the shade if you look closely.
