I like the look of the barrel. A bit rustic in surface texture, but elegant too, in the shapely design. I have not yet hooked it all up, I have to build the patio it's going to be on first, but I have high hopes for its use in the future. I have this rain barrel in both the 80 gallon (1) and the 50 gallon (2) size, and I really like the simple aesthetic. The dark gray color matches my siding almost perfectly, helping these hide visually, since two are in the front of my house. The 80 gallon has better water pressure, nice if you’re filling watering cans and don’t want each fill to take forever. But the plastic spigot that came with it is cheap and hard to maneuver (but I keep forgetting to replace it when the barrel is empty). The 50 gallon ones come with two metal spigots each, which are far nicer to turn off and on. But the water doesn’t come out as fast, for whatever reason. We have all of them up on blocks to aid with water pressure and fitting a bucket underneath. Overall, great product, and they’ve kept my garden alive through multiple summer drought periods!. This was even better looking than I thought it would be. It looks beautiful. However, customers should know that there is no opening for a diverter hose from a downspout. And there are no instructions for setting up other than the spigots. It seems like it is designed to just sit anywhere and gather rain, which would take forever. Our rain barrels are uniquely designed with plastic fittings that match the rate of expansion and contraction of barrel plastic from season to season to avoid leakage. These rain barrels are repurposed from pre-used overseas food barrels. There may be slight scratching or scuffs due to previous overseas transportation. Since our rain barrels are made of High-Density Polyethylene Plastic they can be left outdoors even in the winter months so there is no need to modify your downspouts in the Spring and Fall.
