The darkest shade would pick up browns or dark greys or even black if those shades are in your space and you want to match well. Regardless, I liked it and the price so much that I bought two. That little old lady (dog) in the photo is 18 and sometimes can't make it to her doggy door fast enough. Accidents. Speaking of which, she did nail the edge of the rug once already and I used my electric carpet cleaner on the spot. Colors and rug held up just fine after the cleaning.
