It’s petty heavy, so be sure to attach to a strong post - I got the Gibraltar Landover post (which is actually hollow) and slid it over a 4x4 sunk 17” into the ground which is 30” above ground (so the 4x4 is a total of 47”). We love the large mailbox. I do a lot of purchasing online so we really needed this size. It is sturdy and we dressed it up by purchasing the address on a separate cast iron piece that will attach on top of the mailbox and we also added a nice looking decorative piece that attaches to the bottom of the mailbox and the post.
