I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. Spunloft towels have a special twisted thread technique. This technique manages the torsion which creates “air beds” in the fibers making these towels more absorbent. The soft hand feel offers a bulky and bouncy towel that is lofty and fluffy. Spunloft towels have much less linting and remain soft and fluffy after multiple washes. Unlike zero twist towels where the cotton yarns are twisted with a PVA yarn (Plastic fiber), the spun loft yarn is twisted without any plastic yarns, so they are more environmentally friendly. In zero twist towels, the PVA is melted in a later stage where the plastic is dissolved in the water and this is an environmental hazard.
