I rescued some baby squirrels that had lost their mother and it was perfect for them until they were old enough to set free. They now live happily in my parents back yard where they have lots of trees and two small ponds. My parents put food out for them to make sure they are eating well and they come to visit whenever my parents out in the yard. They are still wold and don't get too close which is exactly what my parents intended. This hutch has been great for our 4 guinea pigs, they have plenty of room and the unscreened doors offer them a area that helps them feel safe and secure. The included instructions to put the hutch together arent the best but its pretty easy to figure out what piece goes where. The ramps inside of the hutch could pose an issue for some critters because it is a pretty steep incline that you may need to add something extra like peel and stick sand paper or small pieces of wood to offer your critters something they can get traction on. The hutch does have a strong odor in the beginning but it does dissipate over time. The interior is easy to wipe down and clean and the removable drawer floors on both levels make it easy to just pull out the drawer and dump in a trash bag.
