Well I think the size and quality of the frame itself is great, however I was quite disappointed with the print itself. The colors are much different than the picture, it is a bit washed out and not as vibrant as I expected. Even my actual review picture makes it look betterbrighter than it actually does in person.. This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features an abstract view of the horizon over a large body of water. Claude Monet (1840-1926) was a founder of French impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to Plein-air landscape painting. The term 'impressionism is derived from the title of his painting, 'Impression, Sunrise' (Impression, Soleil Levant). Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high-quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
