I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. I’m very satisfied with this door. It looks even better in person and has a very clean, modern appearance. The black finish and horizontal frosted-glass panels give it a much more upscale look than the traditional door I’m replacing. I was especially impressed with the quality of the glass. The windows are double-pane, and the frosted finish provides privacy while still allowing light through. The door itself feels solid and well made, and overall the quality exceeded my expectations for the price. The door arrived with the hinge locations already prepared, as well as the openings for the deadbolt and door handle. I’m installing it into an existing 36" x 80" entry-door frame, so I may need to make some minor adjustments to the latch/strike locations, but that is specific to my existing frame and not an issue with the door. Overall, I think this is an excellent value for a modern entry door. Similar-looking contemporary doors can cost considerably more. If you're looking to update the appearance of your home without spending thousands on a front door, I definitely recommend this one. 5 stars!
