I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. I love this rain barrel! Of course, as soon as we installed it, it didn’t rain for almost a month! But when it finally did rain, it filled up fast! I just ordered my second one! It was very easy to install. The only negative things I can say is 1) The top planter was misshaped, but once I put dirt and flowers in it, it fixed itself. There was not a problem flipping it and putting the top on without the planter side up. 2) It seems like when the barrel is filled to the top, the plants sit in muddy water.
