I previously had a smaller olive tree in this corner of our home, but I felt like the space needed something larger, and this one fit the bill. Since a real olive tree of this size would need a much larger pot, I purchased a planter to set it in. Assembly was incredibly easy. The branches are labeled to help with placement, and the labels peel right off when you're finished. With a little fluffing and shaping, the tree looks beautiful and has a lovely, natural silhouette. The leaves and olives are pretty standard for faux olive trees. They're realistic enough, although I wouldn't mistake them for the real thing up close. Trees come very well packaged, and though "branches" are bent you can reshape them. The height is only attainable with the highest branch straighened. The pots naturally collect some rainwater, so I use mosquito donuts to prevent insect infestation. I’m really impressed with this olive tree! I was looking for a tall faux tree to add some warmth and greenery to our living space, and the 6-foot size is perfect. It adds a lot of height and visual interest without taking up much floor space. The trunk has great texture, and I love the variation in the leaves and the little olives throughout the branches. It does need some shaping right out of the box, but the branches are easy to bend and arrange. The more I spread them out and adjusted them, the fuller and more natural the tree looked. One thing worth mentioning is that the tree itself is a little wobbly. The base has a nice amount of weight to it, which helps keep it grounded, but the upper portion still feels slightly unstable. I’m going to try distributing and shaping the branches a little more evenly to see if that improves the balance. It hasn’t been a major issue for me, but it’s something I would want to know before purchasing. I also really like the included white planter. It’s simple and neutral and looks nice enough that I don’t feel the need to purchase a separate decorative pot. Overall, I’m very happy with it.
