These look great, but my Contractor said they were a pain to install. I bought two sets for two different rooms. One set was perfectly fine. The second set of doors arrived boat. The level confirmed that the door frame was plumb, but these doors were not cut straight at the factory. One can’t tell when they’re open, but when the doors are closed, you see it in the gap in the middle. Other than that, they look good and have elevated the space.. Anonymous. Sun Aug 09 2026

The solid core construction allows up to 0.5 inches of trimming per edge (top, bottom, left, right) to fit unique rough openings seamlessly. Please note that hollow core doors are not recommended for trimming, as cutting may compromise their structural integrity. Q: Why choose this system over rigid prehung door freight units? A: Traditional large double-door frames easily twist or break during freight. Our 3-package modular system guarantees pristine arrival and allows fully customized hardware and key lock positioning. Q: Can I paint or stain the door to match my existing décor? A: Yes! Both the white primed door panels and the natural pine wood door panels are fully paintable and stainable. The smooth, factory-primed surface (on white doors) and the natural wood grain (on pine doors) are ready to accept paint or stain, allowing you to achieve any color or finish that complements your interior design. Q: What is the return process for this door slab? A: Please keep the original packaging and repack the door in its original condition to ensure a smooth return process.

Two solid-core slabs ship with a complete frame kit and hardware – hinges, ball catches, and handles all included, delivered across three protective packages. Assembly is quick and straightforward, taking only about 25 minutes to complete. The ball catch mechanism lets you push or pull either door open hands-free, making everyday traffic smoother and more convenient. Installation Overview: Dual Active Leaves: Both doors swing independently – open left, right, or both at once. Height Adjustable: Frame components allow fine-tuning to fit your opening. Tools Needed: Router and nail gun recommended for top ball catch mortising and frame assembly. Q: Does this system come fully assembled? A: No. It ships knocked down in three boxes to prevent damage – two slabs plus one frame and hardware kit. Q: Why three boxes instead of one? A: Traditional large double-door frames often twist in transit. Three separate boxes ensure safe delivery and full control over handle placement. Q: Do I need to turn a handle to open the door? A: No. The ball catch lets you push or pull the door open without twisting any hardware. Q: Can both doors be used independently? A: Yes. Each panel has its own ball catch, so either side opens on its own. Q: What rooms is this best for? A: Dining rooms, pantries, master closets, home offices, and bedrooms – anywhere you want open access with optional privacy.

SMARTSTANDARD is committed to providing high-quality, customized, and durable Slab Doors to satisfy your home decoration and security needs.

Elevate your living space with our premium French Interior Door System, designed to bring timeless elegance, superior sound insulation, and a bright, open atmosphere to any room. Whether you're renovating a bedroom, bathroom, closet, pantry, or laundry room, a single French door set instantly transforms the look and feel of your home. SPECIFICATIONS & COMPONENT OPTIONS Package Includes: Door panels, silver ball catches, hinges, and door handles. (No frame included.) Tool Preparation: A router and a nail gun will need to be prepared by yourself for frame adjustment and perimeter anchoring. Our collection features a versatile range of core constructions and surface finishes - Solid Core MDF, Hollow Core, Molded Panels, Solid Pine, as well as Clear, Frosted, and Mirrored Glass inserts Supported Applications: Pantry, Laundry Room, Bedroom, Bathroom, Kitchen, Living Room, Dining Room, Home Office, Nursery, Closet, Hallway, Mudroom, Basement Please Note: Existing Opening Check – Please measure your current door opening carefully to ensure your existing frame depth and width fit standard slab dimensions. To ensure maximum freight protection and prevent transit damage, this set ships in multiple packages with a fully pre-assembled door slab. Simple assembly is required to attach the included hardware and components. All components arrive unbored, giving you full control over handle height and installation preferences. Q: Can this door be trimmed to fit my existing opening? A: Yes. The solid core construction allows up to 0.5 inches of trimming per edge (top, bottom, left, right) to fit unique rough openings seamlessly. Please note that hollow core doors are not recommended for trimming, as cutting may compromise their structural integrity. Q: Why choose a slab replacement kit instead of an interior door with frame? A: If your current frame is square and in good condition, replacing just the slabs and hardware saves significant time, avoids drywall repairs, and lowers overall project costs. A: Yes!
