This is a great little dehumidifier. We got it for our basement because our old one was getting old and starting to have problems. This one is smaller and a lot quieter. The compact feature of this unit is great and it did not produce any notable scent and some brands do. I bought this because as an insurance policy for my new building space after being exposed to mold previously. Well it turned out to be a great idea because just a few weeks later mold in the new space was revealed.
