I used this as picture frame moulding in a bedroom makeover. It was easy to paint. I used a miter saw to cut it and did have some edges that frayed a bit. Sanding helped. These look amazing once we finally got them installed. It can be quite tricky to cut correctly, and it was frustrating enough for my husband that it took him years (and a contractor) to finally get them all put up.
