We love this pergola! It replaced a motorized retractable canvas awning that needed a new cover. We discovered that replacing just the cover would have cost almost three times as much as purchasing this entire pergola—and this looks so much better! Our deck is on the second level, and the pergola feels sturdy and has held up well through some fairly strong winds. My brother and nephew assembled it and attached it securely to both the deck and the house. Installation took most of the day, so it was definitely a project. Fortunately, my husband and I organized all the pieces and assembled several of the basic parts before they arrived, which helped tremendously. The finished pergola looks fabulous, and we receive so many compliments on it! Our neighbor was so impressed that they took the accompanying photo from their deck. The only drawback we have found is that it does leak during rainstorms, and we haven’t yet figured out how to correct that. Even with that issue, we are extremely pleased with it. When I called Wayfair, they sent replacement parts and the parts never showed up (they shipped them to the wrong address). Wayfair then sent a replacement shed, but I had to take down the old one (as they said they don’t do demo work). I so desperately needed a shed and am looking forward to finishing this assembly! I had to get a good base set up for it and secure it, now that’s done and I’ll be able to upload more of the finished product. It arrived in two boxes, the larger box, box 2 of 2, is the one that contains the assembly instructions. Hoping this goes together as smoothly as it was shipped! Adding photos of completed build! I did see one reviewer mention that it was easier to assemble the roof partly before putting it on top, and that was super helpful. We attached the roof panels with the screws on the toppitch of the roof. I will say, all of the screws that were provided were quite short, so I ended up using some longer self tapping screws in place. Added some OSB on top of the floor frame, and everything seems good to go! The front doors don’t close evenly and probably will need a magnet at the very top center to keep them fully shut. A beautiful addition to my yard or garden. I ordered the 10ft 3-Inch Diameter Galvanized Steel Outdoor Lamp Post with Flange Base by Locontifni. It was delivered quickly and in perfect condition. It is simple to assemble. It took less than 5 minutes to put together. It also includes the anchoring hardware or ground mounting hardware. I just add the concrete for stability. The lamp post has a nice brown finish. It does measure 10 feet tall and does accommodate a 3” diameter light.
