These turned out beautifully but I severely underestimated the amount of time it would take to get them to this point. I struggled to get these to stain as dark as I wanted. I tried just staining them at first and then had to go back and sand them down to get them to stain darker. Really solid door, paint finish is amazing, but it is not really very printable. It would need to be scuffed up well to take any paint, so when one side accidentally had trim applied to it and there were tiny nail holes after we removed the trim strip the painters were concerned about painting the whole door because the finish wouldn't be as good if they had to prep the whole door and eventually the paint-over could fail vs if we just kept most of the door untouched and just painted the one style to cover the small nail holes. Super easy instructions to follow to build. At first receiving the boxes, I was uncertain getting the smaller box with the panels, thinking it might be low quality, but once it was together we were very pleased. I am a female , senior and was able to do assembly by myself surprisingly , very quickly. My husband hung this door for Our Customer and they absolutely loved it. We start with a solid barn door surface, apply a thin MDF layer, and then finish it with a special PVC coating. The result is a stunning barn door with a glossy surface.
