This carpet I have had for 2 years in my bedroom. It is a mess. It stretched, his carpet pulls, it’s a poor, thin quality, didn’t realize this until I received it, and the color has faded on the carpet on the side I sleep on. This is a terrible, cheap looking carpet, and to me, it was not worth the price. It was supposedly handmade. I guess it would have faired better as a wall hanging. Such a disappointment.. Tj. This rug showcases an intricate pattern in the artwork of Ivory tones. Hand-knotted from the highest quality Wool, it is both luxurious and durable. The colors and design provide an elegant foundation that brings a sophisticated feel to any space. Hand Woven Recreations of the classic French flat weave Aubusson rugs that have been found in the finest homes and palaces since the late 17th century. Situated on the banks of the River Creuse in France Aubusson had been well known for producing tapestries for centuries. It is claimed that they were weaving in Aubusson as early as the 8th century but it was not until 1743 when the King's Council decided to establish a carpet factory in the town that the style we now know as Aubusson came into being. Features: Hand-Knotted construction | Made of Wool

Deep navy sets the tone for this 4x6 hand-knotted French Aubusson needlepoint rug with a structured grid that gently organizes the surface into floral panels. Each square holds a bouquet of roses and garden flowers in soft shades of pink rose lavender and ivory accented with touches of green that keep the palette fresh. The surrounding border rendered in warm beige and ivory repeats the floral pattern in a looser rhythm creating a natural frame that feels balanced. Rooted in the French Aubusson tradition this design reflects a period when rugs were conceived almost like painted textiles favoring symmetry light contrast and decorative clarity over heavy patterning. Woven in wool with a flat low cut pile on a cotton foundation the rug has a smooth refined surface that suits both formal rooms and relaxed interiors.Story Behind the Art: French needlepoint rugs originated in 17th18th century France famously crafted in Aubusson and Savonnerie workshops for royal and aristocratic interiors. My wife and I absolutely love the Brayton Hand Hooked Wool Floral Rug! The quality is exceptional, and the combination of beautiful colors and rich texture gives it a much more expensive look and feel. It has quickly become a centerpiece of our bedroom and really helps bring the entire room together. I especially love how wonderful the wool feels under my bare feet, it is thick, soft, and incredibly comfortable. The price was also phenomenal for a rug of this quality. I’ve seen similar rugs, and honestly, some of lesser quality, selling for hundreds of dollars more. We couldn’t be happier with this purchase. If you’re looking for a beautiful, substantial rug and the colors work with your palette, you really can’t go wrong with this one. Highly recommended!. Hugh. US. Mon Sep 28 2026

Based on authentic Chinese designs and using only the finest wool, this area rug is a truly timeless classic. The transitional style reflects the classic patterns that have created the most beautiful of decors over the centuries.

Romantic floral bouquets bloom across the ivory field of this hand-knotted French Aubusson needlepoint rug where roses in shades of coral and pink mingle with golden and lavender blossoms in a graceful symmetrical arrangement. The sophisticated charcoal gray border provides elegant contrast that grounds the softer palette and adds unexpected contemporary appeal to this traditional design. Created using the distinctive Aubusson flatweave technique that originated in 17th-century France this rug features no pile and instead the design emerges through precise needlepoint knotting that allows each petal and leaf to be rendered with remarkable clarity and detail. The result is a thin flexible textile that lies flat and works beautifully in high-traffic areas while maintaining the refined aesthetic of a much more delicate piece.Story Behind the Art: French needlepoint rugs originated in 17th18th century France famously crafted in Aubusson and Savonnerie workshops for royal and aristocratic interiors.
