Looks to be a great product. Transolid needs to improve the packaging. Ours arrived with damage to one corner which fortunately will be hidden once installed and should present no problems in future. The texture which mimics stone, perhaps slate, is fantastic. Like most shower pans, this one gets set in mortar and promises to be quite "solid". Really looking forward to the finished bath.. Dale. This is a good solid shower base. It was generally square and straight although the front edge was a bit bowed out. It doesn’t come with a drain so keep that in mind. Ordered Friday, arrived Monday - VERY fast service. Shower pan was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Design is exactly as we expected and reinforcement on the underside is significantly better than the shower pans from the big box stores that I looked at. Support is very dense so floor should be very solid. I am very happy with this for our new bathroom installation in our basement. The glass is surprisingly thick and beautiful. The handles and tracks are sturdy and thick enough. It came unbroken (better than the toilet I ordered last month!) and the pieces are all here. I'm debating whether to tackle this myself or hire a handyman. But it looks beautiful and I'm afraid any issues will be my own installation mistakes from here on. Just put it up. Did it almost all myself,and as a first timer. Just needed my 13 year old to screw the wheels into the 2nd door while I held it up. Instructions suck of course, but I watched a couple videos by people putting in similar ones. Made a few minor mistakes along the way, but all were fixable. Ended up looking great, and fitting PERFECTLY. Just had to measure 5 times and cut... twice in some cases. But always started conservative. You DEFINITELY need a power cutting tool, not a hacksaw, on the top bar. I bought steel cutting discs for my grinder and even that took 3 batter charges. I tried a hacksaw for a few minutes and it hardly made a notch in it. That would take all week. Here's a tip...if any risk of missing the wood studs, add more wood in the wall before tiling.
