We spray painted metal towers and covered shelves with white wood grain contact paper to lighten up this dark set. Quite easy to put together with two people with half stands propped on ottoman. Did put together top and bottom with holes facing wrong way and had to remove and flip one bottom tower so that joining screws found holes. Very wobbly and definitely anchored to wall on either side. Love this shelving unit. Got scared when the box filled with small parts arrived, but it was super easy to put together and love the solid wood shelves, none of that MDF board. Decided to use it under my kitchen counter. I just didn't use the top shelf, which was possible by just capping it off one level shorter. Pretty steady metal shelving unit. The pressed cardboard shelves were slightly unimpressive but with the supports running through the middle it should hold weight, unless it gets wet.
