Our TV cabinet arrived quickly and was packaged very securely. It comes in two boxes and it is very heavy, so you might need two people to carry it in. The instructions were good and all the pieces were there, which isn't always the case, so very happy with that. It is not an easy assembly, but there are moving parts and a lot of smaller pieces, so that's not a surprise. At one point we needed two people to stabilize a section while tightening some screws, but for the most part, it's a one person job taking maybe 3-4 hours if you're not experienced. The look is nice. We got the light oak color and it's a little lighter than I expected, but looks good. The most important part is that it works perfectly. We haven't installed the TV yet, but the remote works and it slides up and down effortlessly. The only slight minus is that the remote has no instructions or directions. Love this piece! Adds a nice look to our living room and I love that there is no visible tv in the room. Took us a few hours to install particularly to get the height of the tv just right, but all in all it wasn't that difficult to do. Did not come with a shelf inside for components, which we were disappointed about. We ended up using large velcro strips to fasten our Dish receiver inside and it worked just fine with the remote. Great stand…you can only mount the tv one way though and for us that meant the doors would open toward the bed as we put this at the end of our bed. Update one of the handles was put on upside down so it was an easy fix. The lid will actually be raised when you raise the TV and will be lowered when you lower the TV. I have therefore raised my rating to five stars. The TV stand serves the purpose. The mechanism to raise and lower the TV works well. However, the hardware was put on crooked and the hinges for raising the top theme with somewhat dangerous. I’m not sure I see the point of using Alexa to raise your TV when you have to stand up and raise the lid manually. It would be much better if there was someway to remotely lift and lower the lid. I’m pleased with this purchase. It was a bit challenging to assemble on my own since I have short arms and the front and back of the unit are preinstalled. Also because the particle board in the back was a bit warped it was difficult to get the top to line up when assembling the final bolts. It’s definitely a two person job. But the solid word portion is good quality and I’m pleased the cherry color is a close match to my other furniture. If it’s delivered to your home when you are not there you’ll need a dolly to get it inside. It’s extremely heavy when all packaged together.
