This teak is Lacy Act compliant and sustainably harvested on teak farms with consistently replanting the plantation. Teak is a very durable wood and to demonstrate its durability US Navy uses teak for the decks of our aircraft carriers. They can be oiled with teak oil and then wiped dry to prevent them from becoming sticky.

This table top is beautiful! I had an existing base from my old tile top table so I was able to attach this table top to the existing base. It arrived extremely well packaged with no damage what so ever. The finish on it seems to be a stain or a protection clear coat…I’m not sure. I purchased a teak protector to keep it from turning grey but I’m not sure if I actually need to use it or not?? I would definitely purchase another one if I needed to buy another teak table top!! This is a solid piece of furniture that looks good in my dining room. I must say the tone of the furniture is more muted and less of a shine than what is shown on website. The three boxes the table parts came in were all delivered together and in good condition. Assembly was rather easy and all the parts were included.
