Finally received this polywood bench! It is being used for a memorial bench for a person that meant a lot to many people. Polywood is the absolute best material for outside use. Stainless steel hardware so no worries about rust. The weight capacity is enough for two people without worrying. The assembly was rather easy and great directions. The green color is also perfect for the park setting, blends well with all the greenery behind it. Although Polywood may cost more than others, you’ll have many many years of enjoyment! I received this bench on June 3, 2023. My husband and I worked together to construct it. I was very disappointed to find in the instructions that it is to be constructed with small dowel pegs. No screws are included. The instructions tell u that if a dowel breaks off while u are using a rubber mallet to hammer it in then u need to use a 1/8 drill bit to drill that one out and insert another one. I would have rather the manufacturer design this bench with screws as part of the construction which would have provided more strength and stability. However, we decided to give it a try and we began to construct it. Several dowels broke and I had to do as the instructions noted. It seems to be fairly tight together at this point but I will be monitoring it as time goes by. I applied a coat of Teak Oil to it and it brings out the beautiful grains and color. I love this bench! Extremely easy to assemble and I will be using for occasional use. There are some reviews that state it is bowing in the middle, the manufacturer or your handy person needs to add a center support to keep that from happening. This looks perfect with my real polywood furniture, has some real weight to it, not hollow plastic. Very sturdy and looks beautiful.
