We have moved into a new-to-us home with vinyl fencing surrounding the back yard.  There are some places where the bottom of the fence is higher than the ground. Because we would like to have a dog, those areas need to be secure from digging. We had wondered how to make that happen in the best way, and when I saw these I knew that they would be perfect for that particular project! Once installed, we can bring the dirt up to the level of the fence bottom. Because temperatures have been in the 90-100 degree range and we are older folks, my hubby has not yet been able to start on the installation project. I have extremely hungry deer who are not picky unfortunately! The only truly effective measure is to wrap my precious trees and plants! Thank God there are some they dislike! I am not always home to sprinkle powder or spray deer repellent which are both effective. I bought ultrasonic lights were effective at first then the deer ignored them. The skunks did not appreciate my efforts though so I had to stop using! I avoided mesh because obvious reasons but it's the only sure proof method for me. This is the second type of mesh I've used. The first was more nylon type material and was a bit challenging to work with but super flexible. I wanted this type again but was unavailable so I went with a different one. This second mesh is stiffer and more of a wire consistency but cuts easily with scissors. I would say it is more for use with stakes. The major problem I had was wrapping things too tightly so be aware it's so easy to do and then it must be loosened. Great little fence panel set! I am using it to fence off sections of my lawn that need reseeding. Very easy to set up right out of the box, even for a mechanically challenged middle-aged lady like me. Just line up the holes in the panels, place the metal stake through the holes and use a rubber mallet to get them into the ground. My Labs and German Pinscher have shown some interest in digging under this little fence but have not knocked it over or breached it in any way. It's attractive in the green color. Beautiful panels, they make a super stylish setup. I purchased 6 of them for my deck, they arrived w/o scratches or hits on 2 per box arrangement, very well packaged. Now, these panels are made of some sort of wood, it is hard but easy to drill on, I used a 1/8th countersink bit with a tapper and fixed them to the side of my deck using #8 x 1 1/2" construction screws. They are about 3/8" thick, so I added a 0.665 x 1" vinyl strip behind it, to make it flush with the siding of the decking material which is 1". I also added some black landscape fabric behind to give the depth of the openings on the design and prevent bugs from entering. The result is a very unique deck which we love. Instructions say that the wood will age to gray naturally, I like it dark brown as it is, so I'll be adding some matte clear coat to prevent the aging process.
