Ordered this dresser to for our walk in closet. Had a tough time finding this exact size, but added it to our cart during the Black Friday in July sale and are pleased we did! The delivery was quick, packaging was intact, very heavy box, lots of parts. A power drill and Phillips head screwdriver are the only tools required. My husband and I were skeptical about it taking only 2 hours to assemble and we were right. From unpacking, to reviewing the instructions, to assembling it took two of us a little under 4 hours. But we are pleased with the results. It is pretty solid considering the plywood veneer base. The drawers are a good size and slide open about 10” (which is a bonus). This dresser fits the bill for what we needed. I will admit that it took me the better part of two days to construct it. There are very few words in the instruction manual. It was a fun puzzle. There were 278 instances of screwing a connection. I did more than that because at a couple of points I had constructed parts of it incorrectly based upon the non-instructions so had to disassemble and re-assemble. Some parts of this cabinet are solid wood but most are composite wood which doesn’t do well with re-worked screw holes. A few broken off toothpicks and a little wood glue fixed these instances! The top suggestion that should have been in the instructions is: Do not over tighten screws in the composite board! It strips the screw holes and makes a wobbly connection. I learned it through experience pretty quickly, but spent an hour or so strengthening those connections after I had made this mistake. I know the instructions say construction of this chest should be by two adults, but that would never have worked with me and my husband. He has different gifts. This chest of drawers requires a love of puzzles, patience and the desire to learn new skills. I actually loved building it and the result is solid, fully functional and attractive.. Cheryl. I absolutely love this dresser! It fits perfectly in my odd shaped spare bedroom! It does have small drawers like others have mentioned, but I knew the dimensions when I purchased. Its a great dresser for a spare room, or maybe a nursery! Im really pleased with the final product! It looks great (drawers are all aligned, and open close nicely)! It feels sturdy and solid. The assembly was time consuming and tedious, but overall pretty straight forward! As you can see in one of the photos, theres a LOT of pieces to put together! It was packaged well everything was labeled nicely. The instructions were easy to follow. I put it together by myself (60 yr old woman) with no problems, though Ive assembled a lot of furniture, which probably helped! Overall we really like the dresser - we have a smaller room and wanted something a bit more narrow to fit our area. We love the style and feel it will hold up well. Pros: this is definitely not a solid wood dresser (which is how it’s advertised of course), but it feels sturdy enough. On furniture that tends to be cheaper, I always worry about misaligned drawers, but these all look great and lined up well. Cons: though easy to put together, the assembly process was time consuming. The drawers appear to be nice and deep, but they are more shallow than expected (the front of the drawer is much larger than the actual drawer itself). There is an irreparable blemish on a small part of the laminate that appears to be either damage in shipping or a manufacturer issue. There are some color inconsistencies on the front of the dresser in perfectly straight lines - it appears the tape/strapping material led to a slight discoloration. Overall if I was expecting perfection we would have spent a bit more money, but the quality for the price is good.
