The shelves posed a problem to install because the holes were 15 apart which is on mye inch shorter than the standard stub width in most American homes. Therefore you can only put one screw into the stud. However, they did include drywall anchors. I chose to put the shelves up two and two because of my space, but there are 4 shelves. These shelves are beautiful wood and are pretty deep. I love the color as well. I wanted something to put plants on and they are solid holding a lot of weight. I had a bit of trouble putting them up because the studs in my wall weren't spaced right they were to far apart to hit two studs. I ended up using one stud and 4 drywall anchors. Great shelf! Easy to install right into studs. One of the L-brackets was clearly less that 90° angle but it didn't actually make a difference. I hung it and everything is level. Color was accurate too. One thing to note: is is not a solid piece of wood. The one I received appears to be at least two pieces glued together. But, it was a pretty seamless joining so I am happy..
