This is a great storage bench which we purchased in the black option. It is very large, heavy duty and will hold plenty of weight sitting on it. It is also attractive and actually comfortable to sit on. It arrived packaged very well and our only negative comment were that the directions are not great and we know this is one of those items once put together it is a permanent assembly, you cannot undo it to reassemble - so make sure you have it right the first time. It wasn't that difficult took about 15 minutes including the unpacking and we are very happy with the finished product.. Sandy. Tallahassee, FL. Sat Sep 12 2026

If I could give a 0.5, I would have made this a 4.5. Once built it is great. The hinges hold the top at any level. The unit feels stable. It offer an incredible amount of storage. However, it is NOT easy to assemble. Plus it has the warning, Read the instructions carefully, once assembled it cannot be disassembled. The initial "click" which is the bottom onto one of the front/back panels, is NOT clear on what is clicking together. After much wrangling, attempts looking and relooking it turns out to be simply filling a specific hole. The instructions really needs to have a blow up of which opening is being clicked. After that the other front/back panel needs two people to attach. Being only one person I had to wrangle a support to hold the panel while I lined it up and "clicked".. Arlene. Chicago, IL. Excellent purchase, just what I wanted. The key is to measure the items you want to put into it before you make the purchase. In this case I did and I got right where I wanted to be size-wise. The box arrived at 36 pounds but the box itself was substantial. The items is not flimsy and most of the installation involved snapping five pieces together. That was a bit tricky and I found that a rubber mallet helped do the job, I’m 68 and in above average shape. I split the installation into parts. The hydraulic lid is a nice feature. I’m very pleased.. Clipper. Chevy Chase, MD. Wed Oct 14 2026
