Blind comes as stated – no deduction is made. For an inside mount, your window opening should measure 0.25 to 1 inch wider than the blind width to ensure a proper fit. I wanted something that provides some privacy (street-facing window) but is still sheer enough to let in plenty of natural light. This does the trick. Dimensions are accurate as advertised. It fit our window perfectly. Be aware, because it is sheer, that if you have your room lit up at night, people will still be able to see in a little bit (outlines and such).
