I purchased the 3-shelf size, 36" H X 48" wide. It holds my entire cookbook collection and does double duty as a divider between the foyer and kitchen/dining area. Beautiful, heavy wood in the mission style. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the backing. I wish furniture manufacturers would stop to consider that not every piece of furniture is going to be put against a wall, so it would be nice to have a decent backing. The back of this bookcase is some sort of shiny, vinyl covered panel and the color is awful. Maybe it was meant to be faux marble, but they missed by a mile. Overall happy with bookcase as it serves it's purpose. Nice and heavy but there in lies a problem as it ships in 1 package. Packaging looked very rough and delivered with a corner damaged. FedEx driver warned me it was unusually heavy and helped me carry it into house. Luckily you can't see the damage as it's on bottom unless you're looking for it. Nitpicking wise the top trim piece does not line up flush and isn't adjustable as guide piece is glued on so it sits a little crooked on top. Again overall happy with product, would buy again.. I was skeptical about this shelf unit because there's only one (low resolution) photo on Wayfair and no reviews from previous buyers. But it's the exact size I need and has extra deep shelves which I also need ...so I decided to take a chance on it. It arrived today and I'm very happy with it. This solid wood bookcase is the perfect size for any space. At 32" high, it provides ample storage, but doesn't overpower. We use real wood and screws with plugs in our construction - not MDF, air nails, or Staples. Some minor assembly at home is required; instructions and hardware included. Overall dimensions of 36" W x 10" D x 32" H with three openings that allow for 33"W x 8.5"D x 9.25"H. We do not use highly processed wood, because of this, you can expect knots and minor imperfections that make each piece unique.

As you can probably tell from my photos, Im an eclectic maximalist.
