The only thing I don’t like about it is that it is particle board with a sort of paper veneer, almost like Contac paper. This bookcase was perfect for my office setup. I purchased two of them in the gray color. Easy to assemble, easy to move around once assembled.  Usually MDF manufactured wood has a low quality feel to it but the individual pieces felt well made and the structure as a whole once assembled was sturdy as if it was a solid piece to begin with. This is a great sturdy and handsome piece of furniture. Made of beautiful hard wood and metal frame. The finish is a little darker than I thought it would be, but still a perfect match for my bedroom, where I use it for my computer, printer and other items. There are adjustable feet at the bottom of the four legs, in case your floor is uneven, etc. This is a really nice piece. Unlike some other folks here who left reviews, mine does not have any strange or strong scent. It smells completely fine and normal. Everything came well packaged, with just the right amount of packing materials. There was a slight (very small) chip on the very bottom of the shelf I used on the bottom. Not from shipping, likely a small defect in manufacturing. They offered me a 15% discount and I accepted. I turned that shelf to face the back and I am satisfied. It was actually enjoyable to assemble. It’s not real wood, of course, but it doesn’t look flimsy or low-grade. The anti-tip brackets work well for attaching to the wall. I’m really impressed with this 2-tier bookcase with drawer! Assembly was very easy, and once put together, it feels extremely sturdy and well-made. What really stood out to me is the drawer. I’ve purchased furniture from other companies where the drawers can feel wobbly, loose, or just not very well constructed. That is definitely not the case with this one! The drawer feels solid, stays in place, and glides along the rails so smoothly when opening and closing. I also love the rustic finish—it gives it a beautiful, warm look while still being practical. The open shelves provide plenty of room for books and decor, while the drawer is perfect for keeping smaller items tucked away. I really like this bookcase. If fits perfectly in the space I had for it in my office. It’s very well made and heavy duty. I’ve never had anything made out of rubber wood before when I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. It has a very prominent grain similar to oak.
