Really solid door, paint finish is amazing, but it is not really very printable. It would need to be scuffed up well to take any paint, so when one side accidentally had trim applied to it and there were tiny nail holes after we removed the trim strip the painters were concerned about painting the whole door because the finish wouldn't be as good if they had to prep the whole door and eventually the paint-over could fail vs if we just kept most of the door untouched and just painted the one style to cover the small nail holes. The Paneled Manufactured Wood Primed Barn Door Without Installation Hardware Kit is produced using MDF medium-density fiberboard. The 2 Panel MDF barn door has the design router carved on both the front and back of the door. All hardware including sliding track and handles are sold separately. The door is primed with an in-house white primer.

The doors were very heavy, and they were not squared. I was disappointed because of the price I had to pay for each door. One side was longer, therefore, if you look at the top, they are not leveled while the bottom was. Before you put them up, check to see that they are the same length on both sides. I am giving this five stars because everything came intact. I could see once I get it up it will be exactly what I wanted. However, I was not thinking when I ordered it that my thermostat would be in the way. The reason why I do not have a picture of it fully up yet is because now I have to figure out how to bring it out at least by 2 inches so when the door slides back it will not interfere with the thermostat. I will update my review as soon as I can figure out I'm thinking about getting a 2x4 board to go across my wall and then I think I could attach everything else. One piece on one of the doors required light sanding to make it fit with into the pre-cut holes but otherwise no issues. Two notes: 1. There is a strong odor at unboxing. I recommend building these outside, if possible, and definitely leaving outside for a few days to off-gas before installing on an interior project. I left them on my balcony. 2. This door worked perfectly for our needs. It is the right height at 9 feet tall. It was easy to assemble and install, noting we did have to use a ledger board.
