They were fairly easy to install. We did have to loosen a screw on the mounted hardware pivot it slightly to be able to get the rod into the hardware’s mounting hole bc the recommended 14 inch space from the sill’s top was too tight. There’s a fairly big gap around the edges, as you can see in my pic where the daylight streams from behind the blind, but it’s not a dealbreaker. Sooo Pretty! These sheers will look great in my bedroom. I love the large hem and the pinch pleat. Why 4 stars? What an annoying and cumbersome care label. I am in the process of removing the care labels and I must go in and rip out the piece left over after cutting and sew up the hem (you will definetly see the label if not removed when the curtains are closed), the label is sewed into the hem, there is not an extra top stitch on the label that would make it easy to remove, these labels are sewn in as part of the curtain. Why??? I know there are legal reasons to secure the label to the product but there has to be other ways than this no matter the low cost. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice quality window shade. I usually use blinds but there are some of my windows that look better with shades. This is extremely easy to put up with the included hardware and can be installed inside the window or on the outside of the window frame which is really nice. I love that this is cordless. Being cordless is a must for me. Corded shades and blinds worry me around my pets. The light filtering is great and lets enough light in while it's closed. It opens and closes with ease. My husband and I have hung many shades over the years but these were the easiest by far to install. Recently our neighbors cut down the trees that once provided shade for our kitchen, which led to the sun glaring in through the windows all day long in every season. I liked this one. I bought two for my kitchen windows. They where difficult to install as the walls around my windows are not perfectly straight. They are a bit see through. I wanted to keep having tons of light in my kitchen but having privacy. In the privacy matter I will give them an 8 as you can see through with the right lighting and angle.
