It came in a box and we out it in the bed and cut the plastic and right away it flipped open so fast and hard and it opened up and flattened. It is comfortable but not that firm tho. And it was fairly easy to maneuver it around by myself to get it centered on the bed slats. I bought this mattress to go on an adjustable frame. This mattress works great in it. The only disappointment was the edge of the mattress doesn’t seem to be reinforced as described.
