I bought two of these for a pop-up trundle bed for guest use since it claimed to join into a king size bed. That is a different story. These mattress came vacuum-sealed and expanded to almost full size by the time I got the plastic off. The topper is nice material and can be zipped off for easy cleaning. I gave the mattresses about two days to fully expand and was surprised at how firm they are. Most "firm" mattresses are not very firm; however, I weigh just under 200lbs and I sunk in about a half-inch. It is a soft kind of firm, not a hard, cheap couch kind of firm. My wife laid on the top one and she was equally, pleasantly surprised. That says a lot, coming from her, as she has a bad hip and is very particular when it comes to mattresses. I purchased this mattress topper to add firmness to my 2yr old memory foam bed. A little about the product. It was delivered rolled up, plastic shrink wrapped in a well protected box. Once the plastic is punctured the topper expands fairly rapidly. In about an hour it was full size. The topper is a bit larger than my queen mattress, but not overly so. There are straps in each corner to keep it from sliding around. They easily slipped out but I decided to run them beneath the bed frame and now they stay in place. The topper has added a welcome firmness to my bed. I can honestly say Ive been more comfortable and have slept better. Overall it ls a good addition if your bed is a little worn or soft.. Eric.
