Absolutely beautiful, black, solid wood table! It is not engineered wood or cheap MDF. Very easy to assemble. Just add the four legs. One of the two support pieces that go on the underside of the table came unattached during shipping but it was easy to rescrew it back into place. This is a cute table! It’s sturdy and has clean straight lines. I have a small eating area so needed smaller table and this works nicely. This table obviously does not look like a high end table but for the price point it is excellent and will work perfectly for my needs. It’s a nice neutral color and you can easily pair any chairs with it. I recommend looking for chairs with a more narrow seat to fit under the table and I had white chairs from my last kitchen set which did not look good. But i love the way the painted chairs look with it- they play off each other well. Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that.
