This two step pool ladder was very easy to assemble it most certainly can be used for the pool or a hot tub but I found use of it for my floating deck it made it so easy to step up on the deck and I like that you can also store things inside the steps for your convenience. Be prepared for assembly. You'll need the following: spray dish soap for lubrication, a rubber mallet and a phillips-head screwdriver. Fortunately, it's only four screws, the rest is like putting together a Lego set. It just takes some serious pounding with the rubber mallet to get the pieces to go together, and I mean serious pounding. Just fair warning. The dish soap helps to get things going. It was a bit cold but as spring moves to summer I can see them using it every day. I could not put it together. It was too difficult for me and over my skill level. My husband and two older sons spent a Saturday getting it set up. First they had to clear an area. Then they put down sand. After they put a tarp down. Then they started set up on the pool. Honestly with the prep and everything it took the three of them all day. It seems thick and durable and something that will last if well taken care of. I love all the accessories that came with it. I’m so glad I didn’t have to buy those separately. As far as water filtration and maintenance, it has only been up a week so unsure. My husband is in charge of that. Hello, I Purchased this item, and it arrived in a plain brown box with a shipping address to me from Wayfair? there was no information of what was inside. the box was all beat up it arrived about April 15th as planned but I waited for the weekend when I had time to open it. Inside was a bag with a pool inside no instructions only a patch kit (yellow) and pool. Had to make sure that it had 4 air chambers without blowing it up. It did (But I wish that it had a picture of the product and instructions or some kind of paper work, to me it is a returned Item put back out there for resale.) I will inflate the pool next month hope there is NO holes in it. very disappointed with the way it was packaged.
