Had to order twice. The unit is shipped in two boxes and one of the boxes didn't show up. I was told a replacement was not available. When I was looking for another island it showed it was in stock so I ordered it again. Received in a timely manner. Seems like a waste of resources as I was told to discard of the box I received with the first order. We are handy people, it took about three hours to assemble. One of the drawer pilot holes were not correctly placed and we had to drill new holes. The unit comes with a generous bag of extra hardware but the one piece we needed was not included. We improvised with something we got at a local hardware store. Unit seems sturdy, not sure how the countertop will wear. Had company over today and received compliments. It is a nice style. Beautiful wood construction but difficult for one person to add heavy top piece to base and sides. All the contorting to build this island takes a very agile person. I added 5 casters that were not provided that cost an additional 25.00, because the shipment was shorted 2 of the 4 levelers. Not built in a day! ASIDE: After 7 years of storing heavy pottery dishes and serving pieces behind the island doors, and drawer filled with flatware for 12.... This is a fabulously solid purchase.
