I'm obsessed with my new doors! Exactly as pictured. I love the texture and quality. You do have to assemble the doors, but it was easy with clear instructions. The only issues I had was with mounting the railing. My studs weren't 16 inches apart to meet up with the pre-drilled holes. These doors are heavy so you have to make sure you put the bolts in studs. I thought about a header board but that would've made a larger gap between the door and the wall. So I drilled new holes in the railing to place the bolts in studs (which wasn't as easy as I expected). The gap between the door and wall is about 3/4in without a header. This door beautifully serves the need I had to separate a den from the dining room to provide overnight guests more privacy. It has a nice finish and is solid enough to provide a bit of sound deadening between the two rooms. My installer did note the lack of a dado cut in the door for the track, so he didn’t notice that a particular end should have been “up” - so I think he mounted it upside down (the door’s cross panel is about 5” deep on one end and 7” on the other). Not a big enough deal visually for me to have the door re-mounted, but an indicator for which end was intended to be the top of the door would have been nice. The door doesn’t come with handles but I was able to find finger flush-mount and loop handles that worked beautifully. The door is made solid enough to screw handles into it.. Caryn. Seattle, WA. Really solid door, paint finish is amazing, but it is not really very printable. It would need to be scuffed up well to take any paint, so when one side accidentally had trim applied to it and there were tiny nail holes after we removed the trim strip the painters were concerned about painting the whole door because the finish wouldn't be as good if they had to prep the whole door and eventually the paint-over could fail vs if we just kept most of the door untouched and just painted the one style to cover the small nail holes.
