Fit the vintage tub I picked up from a scrap yard and repainted which had a 4 inch spread. I would have preferred one that was fitted specifically for a 4 in spread, because the mechanism that allows it to be adjustable also makes it a bit bulky, but the price for all the components together couldn't be beat. I think my plumber may have added the plastic nuts for the bolts, not sure those are the ones it came with, which detract from the look, but its in the back. Overall I am very happy with this.. Love my soaking bathtub. I can literally spend hours there relaxing and I usually add epsom salt and baking soda, no signs at the moment of anything, I bought the product a year ago. Heavy and sturdy, so if you carrying this to a second floor make sure your floors are reinforced x r have strong people to carry it, we took all these precautions prior to installing it.
