Our aquarium stand is constructed with high-quality materials, featuring 1.5-inch thick steel pipes and sturdy MDF panels, ensuring a maximum weight capacity of 1200 LBS for the tabletop and 200 LBS for the bottom. With a desktop size of 48" X 24", our stand is ideal for reptile tanks or aquariums ranging from 40 to 120 gallons. Specifically tailored for those who raise bearded dragons. The bottom space is also for you to place small 5-20 gallon terrariums or fish tank kits (please measure your tank to ensure a fit).

This is fine as a shelf...and could possibly hold a 10 gallon tank. I ordered it for a 20 gallon tank, tried to cancel once I realized that the capacity for the top shelf was only 110 lb! A filled 20 gallon tank weighs between 200 to 245 pounds completely full with water, gravel, and basic gear. The seller refused to cancel the order. Buyer beware! I bought this stand for a new 40-gallon tank that I am setting up. This aquarium stand was shipped and delivered on time with no damage. Assembling it was a bit of a challenge because the top was slightly bowed. It took a rubber mallet and 200lbs of weight to get it lined up so I could screw it down. The openings in the back panel aren't really useful for my purposes. The designers only considered tanks with hang off back (HOB) filters. If you are using a canister filter that resides in the cabinet below the tank, you will either have to leave the back panel off or get creative with a saw. I got creative with a saw and cut a hole in the back big enough to easily accommodate the filter's output/return hoses and provide easy access for maintenance. This stand seems sturdy enough to support the 450lb+ weight of a filled 40-gal tank. It's not what I'd call high quality or high-end decorator, but so far it suits my tastes just fine.. Nicole.
