The frame is wonderful. Unfortunately it is too deep for the project I purchased it for. While getting ready to pack it up for return, an idea came to me. I got this shadowbox to make a tribute to my late father - to gift to my adult daughter for Christmas. I installed some shelves in it to set his vintage miniatures on & backed it with a 1922 map. I purchased three of these jersey frames. Two boxes were taped together and the third was sent in a separate box. In the individual box, each piece of acrylic had a protective layer to remove. For the two that the boxes were taped together, the acrylic pieces were wrapped with plastic moving wrap (think saran wrap) as if the product had been opened and repackaged. This made it EXTREMELY difficult to unbox. Additionally, there were scratches and markings on the acrylic. Overall, I like the unit. It arrived next day and the setup was pretty straightforward. I have 5 other cabinets that are similar but not identical to this one so a lot of the setup was the same. I had to makemake 2 additions to make the cabinet work for me. First, I added legs. I don’t like cabinets that drag on the floor especially when you need a place to put the power cords. Second, I added lights to the glass shelves. The way the unit works. Anything on the two glass shelves device light but if you have a lot of things on those shelves, the light doesn’t fully transmit to the wood shelves. I’ve been reading that the lights tend to die within 30-60 days so let’s see if that happens to me it I have a backup plan to add new lights o I’ll be fine if it does. Overall, a descent unit.
