I like the solar post caps overall...just deducting one star regarding two items I would like to see improved on in the future developments... The light output through the stained glass could perhaps be just a bit brighter...or more of a cooler "daylight" output on the spectrum...and the assembly quality of the screws interferes with me being able to twist and lock the cap to the post adapter. Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing.
